Edlyn F. Plute
Along with being
a training associate for Adaptive Schools, Edlyn Plute has served as a teacher, teacher leader, and teacher coach.
She currently is an induction coach, working with teachers that are in the process of obtaining their professional
Colorado teaching licensure. She also is the facilitator for high school induction mentors, providing professional
development to strengthen mentoring and collaboration skills. As a professional developer, Edlyn provides training
supporting collaborative schools climate and cultures, facilitating school improvement and serving as a change
catalyst. She also currently works closely with administrators and school staffs as part of the district's ACHIEVE
team, providing professional development for high need schools, focused on impacting quality teaching at all grade
levels.
Edlyn is a certified Colorado teacher and was the first Colorado Springs School District 11 teacher to become a National Board Certified Teacher. She has facilitated support programs for teachers in the district's National Board cohort. Edlyn has experience teaching at the middle school level and as a media specialist at both the elementary and middle school level. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Colorado/Boulder and a Master of Arts Degree in instruction and curriculum through University of Colorado/Colorado Springs.
This Colorado native lives with her husband Ed in Colorado Springs. They enjoy visiting their two grown children and granddaughter in the Denver area.
