Joyce Joyce
With more than 30 years of experience in the world of education, Joyce has influenced the learning of students and adults alike while holding a variety of positions throughout the education system. Retired from Jefferson County Public Schools, Jefferson County, Colorado, Joyce has held positions of therapist, assistant principal, principal, and community superintendent. In a system with 85,000 students, Joyce served on the superintendent's cabinet and, in addition to supervising pre-K-12 schools, had contributing responsibility for school improvement support, principal induction and mentoring, leadership development, and secondary reform efforts.
Joyce's background serves to enhance her understanding of the critical components of successful school leadership and adaptation. Her experiences and her ability to infuse the science of leadership and theories of change with the day-to-day application of practice make her style of facilitation authentic and purposeful.
In addition to her work as an Adaptive School training associate, Joyce is a member of the professional development cadre for Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (McREL), is a leadership coach for the Public Education Business Coalition, and is a national consultant and facilitator. She is also highly trained in Cognitive CoachingSM. Joyce has her M.Ed. in educational leadership from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, and her B.S. in physical therapy from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York.
