Kathleen Hanson
Kathleen is a teacher
with nineteen years' experience in the elementary classroom and sixteen years in administration in public schools.
She has been directly involved with professional development, new teacher support programs, and curriculum development
for these programs.
Kathleen's work with Adaptive Schools began six years ago in the Boise area. She is a senior consultant for Idaho Educational Consulting, which provides services in supervision and evaluation, peer assistant training, group development, brain-based teaching, collaboration skills, and facilitation skills. She is a Capacity Builder with the Boise State University Center for School Improvement and Policy Studies, working with local districts in school improvement efforts. Her work in the Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching has taken her across the state of Idaho and nationally.
Kathleen has presented at Educational Testing Service's Pathwise for Teaching conference and is developing presentations for the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She co-authored Walk Across Idaho, a state-wide curriculum for the Idaho Centennial Commission. She has also authored numerous articles for local newspapers and church publications about reading and early literacy development.
