Marilyn Sumner

Marilyn works with public and private schools, nonprofits and businesses with a focus on improving learning, organizations and sense of community through collaboration.  She has facilitated critical conversations for systemic change initiatives at every level from early childhood through college. Her experiences demonstrate how groups of people with different interests, but with a common goal, can join together to create effective new approaches to schools and work.

Marilyn's background includes teacher, curriculum coordinator and executive director (elementary schools, student services, and instructional support services) and nonprofit leader. As an independent consultant the last ten years, she has provided training and facilitation for rural, suburban, urban, and private schools and districts. She is especially interested in the learning needs of adult learners.

Through Insights 4 Leaders, Marilyn works with school leaders. She is a training associate for Adaptive Schools and CenterSource Systems (Tribes).
